Collier County Fire Prevention and Protection Code POLICY AND PROCEDURE MANUAL |
EFFECTIVE DATE: August 13, 2002
SUBJECT: Fire Suppression Test, Maintenance and Repair Reports
OBJECTIVE: To set a policy for Collier County that all inspection reports of hood, spray booth, total flood systems, and fire sprinkler systems, are to be forwarded to the local Authority Having Jurisdiction
BACKGROUND:
The Fire Districts desire to know of any problems found in the field by fire protection system contractors and to take a more pro-active role in ensuring that all systems are regularly maintained and deficiencies corrected within a reasonable period of time. This policy and procedure is designed to require all reports to be sent to the local AHJ.
POLICY/PROCEDURE:
The fire districts of Collier County require that all reports for inspections, tests, and maintenance of fire protection systems for hoods, spray booths, total flood extinguishment systems, and fire sprinkler systems be turned in to the fire prevention office having jurisdiction within 10 working days from the date of the site visit whether the inspection, test or maintenance procedures are completed or not.
