SUBJECT:  Sprinkler Protection of Fire Pump Rooms, Buildings and/or Enclosures

OBJECTIVE: To increase the protection required for fire pumps in rooms of buildings being served, separate buildings and/or enclosures.

BACKGROUND:

Collier County Fire Marshals have determined that buildings or enclosures utilized for fire pumps separated from main buildings need to be protected by an approved automatic supervised fire sprinkler system.

POLICY/PROCEDURE:

All fire pump rooms, buildings, enclosures, and the like shall be protected by an approved automatic supervised fire sprinkler system whether attached to the building being served or not in accordance with NFPA 13 7-10.27.8.
